Drawing and painting are my first art forms. Learning to see from the right brain,
intuitive side and bringing my ideas to life is exciting. I get joy out of combining
colors, textures, and shapes, as well as the physicality of working on larger pieces.
I continue to explore and challenge myself to discover new styles and ways to create.
Commissioned for the Revitalization of Silver Spring, Maryland
Commissioned by My Brother's Place restaurant to paint, what else, a mural of D.C. I decided that the cherry trees should be as large as the buildings.
Acrylic on canvas
Primary colors mixed together and painted over, scratched out lines. Where they intersect there is a hole for light to come through. I knew years later this would be the cover of my CD, Lovely Jewels.
Commissioned by Willow Street Yoga to paint this mural in their Takoma Park studio.
